An informal recording of Anderson and Roe’s transcription of “Erbarme Dich,” an alto aria from Johann Sebastian Bach’s St. Matthew Passion; a musical illustration of Peter’s lament after having denied Jesus three times. The translation of Bach’s aria reads:
“Have mercy, my God, for the sake of my tears! Look here, heart and eyes weep bitterly before You. Have mercy, have mercy!”
